“When we’re looking for compassion, we need someone who is deeply rooted, is able to bend and, most of all, embraces us for our strengths and struggles.”

Me As a Psychotherapist
Hi, I am Rachel! Welcome to Healing Discovered Counseling & Wellness.
Are you a woman facing life’s challenges and inevitable transitions? Do you struggle with stress and anxiety as you adjust to college life, adulting, relationships, motherhood or career? Do you struggle with low self-esteem and body image? Do you help others before you help yourself? Do you strive to please others?
Are you motivated and ready to make a change? Women who have worked with me have built the skills to reduce stress and anxiety. They have adjusted to difficult life transitions such as adulting, college life, motherhood, divorce & breakups. Many women have recovered from eating disorders and broken up with diet culture. Where they are able to address body image issues and low-self esteem. Women who work with me have worked towards discovering their dream career and taking steps towards making that dream a reality. Clients report leaving behind perfectionism and discovering a new found sense of self, where they are able to live intentionally.
As a therapist I use traditional talk therapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Therapeutic Coaching, Buddhist Psychology, Inner Child Theory, Sand Tray and Sound Therapy. I have a passion for incorporating experiential therapies into my work. I am able to use Sand Tray Therapy, Art & Sound Healing in my therapeutic process to help gain insight.
I create a casual comfortable container where my clients can heal, grow and thrive. My office is located in the heart of Tempe at The Healing Tree Collective where my clients have access to integrative medicine practitioners and a yoga studio. I look forward to connecting and guiding you in your healing journey.
I Am Also A Real Person
Outside of being a therapist I play many roles but most importantly I am a mother of 3 and a wife. My family and I value quality time and enjoy spending time in our yard and the outdoors, visiting our loved ones, going on day outings and traveling when we can. My husband and I have a small homestead where we have several raised gardens beds, fruit trees, ducks and chickens. Not only do I have a passion for growing food I am an avid foodie, culinary healer and home cook. While I like to keep busy I also enjoy relaxing at home, listening to music, reading or watching a show.
